It’s been on my bucket list to see Puffins for some time, so we headed to the Farne Islands in Northumberland which are famous for its grey seals and nesting seabirds. We took a boat tour around the islands and landed in Inner Farne to get a close up of the puffins, kittiwakes, fulmars, guillemots, razorbills, sandwich terns, common terns, shags and eider ducks.
Visiting Windsor can easily be done on a day trip from London. Visit the majestic Windsor Castle, with its famous St George’s chapel which has hosted many famous royal weddings and christenings. Explore Windsor Great Park including walking The Long Walk, deer park and the Royal pleasure grounds, Virginia Water with its magnificent lake and Roman ruins.
